Nail It To The Cross

I thought this song was very fitting for the New Year. With all the resolutions being made, this should be our top priority. Enjoy!

It's A New Year - Welcome to 2009

Hello everyone!
I trust each of you had a blessed and wonderful Christmas and that the New Year is off to a great start. I haven't posted anything for several weeks but I am hoping to get back to posting on a regular basis. Please remember to send feedback! It is very encouraging when I hear back from those that visit this blog.
We are starting off the New Year at Harvest Time Holiness Church with a day of fellowship on Sunday Jan. 4, 2009. I will try to get around to updating the Events section of this blog within the next day or so. Happy Belated Birthday to the December babies, Renea Wilson, celebrated her 22nd birthday on Dec. 10, Matt Wilson, celebrated his 42nd birthday on Dec. 27th, and Happy Anniversary to Bro. Maurice and Sis Belle Jones, who celebrated on Dec. 27th. Of course we observed the 3 year anniversary of my mother Cleta Wilson's passing on Dec. 11, and the anniversary of my nephew Logan Wilson's passing on Dec. 22. December is a very sober month for our family as you can well imagine, but once again, the Lord has helped each of us through it all. So praise be to God for all his mercy, love, and comfort in our time of reflection and reminicing of those who touched our lives so deeply and whose departure to the Glory world has left a void in our hearts and on this pilgrim voyage.
My prayers are also with the U.S soldiers fighting in the Middle East and for the salvation of our President Elect, Barack Obama, who will take office on Jan. 21, 2009. As true believers and Christians, we must pray for this man's soul and for the safety and freedom of Christians everywhere. We do not know what the next 4 years will bring, but we do know that the Lord has warned us of sorrows to come in these last days. With the ungodly in power we will suffer! But we also must remember the words of encouragement from our Lord, found in Phillipians 4:8. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, If there be any virtue or if there be any praise, think on these things."

Have a Safe and Happy New Year!
